I am about 5'6...so I am hoping I won't have too much of a problem..but I have a lot of weight to lose, so it's not going to come off as fast as I would like, but that is ok...it will come off and that is best thing in the world! you are doing so great! 25 pounds in a month is something to be celebrated! Congrats!

I have to say this post has me a bit worried ... not so much that I'm in a panic but still.  I'm the only DSer in any of my support groups and Expectations are kinda high for me to reach goal.  I was my docs first DS and my Nut gave me the diet low fat/sugar blah blah .. never told me low carbs lol but thanks to ya'll I figured it out REAL quick!   I have absolutely no reason to gripe cause yeah I've lost over 120 since January .. BUT its slowing wayyyy down.    I eat right .. protein then veggies ...no carbs no sugar ... I've slacked off at the gym and I know thats alot of it so thats changing now!   I started this journey over 400lbs and I'm now at 280 ... its just that I still have sooooo far to go lol and now its slowing down or so it seams at the moment lol. If I don't reach goal I will live but right now I want to think positively and realize its still wayyy to early for me to panic about this junk ... I don't post alot here but I do lurk and ya'll help me wayyyyy more than you know!  THANK YOU!!!

You don't have that short little window of opportunity you hear the RNY'ers around you talking about. Many DS'ers keep losing for two years or even longer. Of course the loss slows down! Good heavens, you've been losing like five pounds a week or more on average here, so give your body permission to catch up :-).  You're right around where I was at that point, and I started around 400 pounds. I'm now 18 months out and at 85% EWL and don't care if I never lose another pound. You'll be fine :-). Just make sure you continue to follow DS eating and supplementing rules, not those for some "other" WLS!  Have you had labs done yet?

I think 6 months is often a slow down/stall point for many people.  You're doing fabulous!  Just keep doing what you know is right (which is ovbiously working!), and it'll come.  Maybe a day or two of being NOT so good would shake things up for ya, too.
