In 4 months I have lost half of my excess weight.  I am now emptying out those clothes that are too big from the closet to donate, enjoying going out and socializing again with no shame about my appearance and awkward mobility, and no fatigue, pain or misery making me stay home sitting or sleeping.

I could go on but I am just going to say I ditto what many of you have posted about how great you feel and what you can do again that you lost.  Today I was filled to the brim with joy after weighing.

I know you all told me I would feel better and I knew i would....but I forgot how great I felt before i got sick for about 6 years, and being well again feels 500% better than I expected.  I am savoring everything about my life and makiing room for new activities and people with ease now that my energy is there.

I am so busy getting together and going out with friends I have very little time to sit at the computer these days.  It's amazing.

Wow Jennifer, that's awesome! Color me green with envy! LOL

What is your diet like? I would love to see you post on the daily food & fitness thread.

Hi Kerry,
My diet is the usual DS plan.  I have more than 64oz of fluids daily, eat 80 grams of protein, sometimes more and sometimes as much as 100g.  I keep the carbs all complex and below 50g until goal, and also eat no rice, no pasta, and no french fries or potatoes, except I had a spoonfull of mashed potatoes during the holidays.  I will have these after goal to keep the weight stable.

I don't need to use the protein shakes because I get it all in with food.  I take my vitamins every day except once i left for the office without them.  My body is just letting go of the weight finally and it allows me so much more energy and movement.  I am feeling so fortunate I almost feel guilty I'm not hungry all the time, sweating it out daily at the gym to lose a measly 10 pounds like way back when.

The FAGE greek yogurt mixed with smuckers splenda sweetened SF raspberry preserves or apple butter is a daily breakfast and snack and it is packed with 20g protein per cup.

George Foreman and his grill are my best friend for dinner, and I have a hamburger, chicken, salmon filet and other seafood, cooked up so quickly on that grill.  I also make crustless pizza or pizza on a whole grain sandwich thin. Sometimes I have a few large shrimp with a little ****tail sauce.

It's great now, because I can stand up at my kitchen counter without excruciating back pain and numbness in my legs, so I can cook again for friends or just for me.  I like to broil scallops.  I cook up omelettes with one egg, some cheese, maybe a bit of salsa, and bacon or a couple sausage links on the weekends.

The Garden of Eatin' black bean tortilla chips are only 18 grams carbs per serving and have 4g fiber, so I use those to have a little nachos with cheese guacamole and salsa, with a little greek yogurt on top because it has more protein than sour cream.

Lunch is usually cold cuts, cheeses, frozen no carb (meat veg)entrees, or seafood salad.  I eat nuts and some buttered popcorn when i want crunch, or a few whole grain triscuits with melted cheddar topped with an almond and the fat isn't a problem.  I will probably get tired of this menu and switch it up but right now this is the usual menu.

I don't eat fruit or juice, but I will incorporate it when I get to goal.  It's too high in carbs, and for me it affects my blood sugar, at least it used to before i had DS.

I read each and every label for carbs and fiber and I have been surprised a few times by what things actually contain.  I thought i was reading them closely before, but I missed a great deal.
I think that's about it.  I'm sure I forgot something.  ...Oh yeah, Deviled eggs, egg salad, and hard boiled eggs are also things I eat.

You've done great Jennifer and your diet sounds really good, it's varied and solid on protein and low carb. I think it would be great if you posted on the Food & Fitness thread, I'm sure there are others that would love to see what you're eating.

I lost weight like crazy for the first two months, then the loss rate slowed and stopped on Dec. 4 and I haven't lost anything since then. I lost 65 pounds those first 2 1/2 months and I feel great have good energy, but still have 40-50 pounds to lose so I'm a little frustrated right now.

Anyway, well done; well done indeed!

OK, I just pasted what I eat into that thread too.  You and I are losing about the same...we are both just passing the halfway point to goal.  Congrats, you have only 50 to lose!  Me too, with the weight loss slowing down.
