Excess Weight Loss calculator?
Does one exist somewhere out there? I know online BMI calculators are a dime a dozen, but I've yet to find one that will calculate EWL percentage.
Short of a calculator, would someone give me an easy way to figure this? I can write my way out of just about any cir****tance, but math?
~little whimper~
I'm its ***** It OWNS me. I cower at the sight of its cryptic symbols ... tremble with fear of fractions... go glassy-eyed at the mere suggestion of percentages.
Make it easy for me, please. A Web site where I can toss a few numbers into a few empty cells and hit a button that is clearly marked "caclulate my EWL."
~a flutter of impossibly long lashes~
Puh-leeease?
I love ya, man!

All you do is:
To get your total amount of excess weight, subtract your goal weight from your starting weight (I will use my own numbers as an example).
308.5 - 150 = 158.5
Then just divide how much you've lost so far by the total excess weight to get your %EWL so far.
66/158.5 = .4164
Convert to a percentage by moving the decimal point 2 spots to the right.
I have reach 41.64% EWL so far.

OK, Kathy -- you just had to ask!
Assuming that you have your goal weight (several options for what to use), you can use a small spreadsheet that I just wrote (3 blanks to fill in, clearly labeled). Take a look at this link, and PM me if you think it will work and I will grant you access to be able to just edit the numbers. The numbers in it are my numbers, just as an example.
