Giving myself credit - for a change. New Pic

I whine, I complain, I overthink. But I rarely give myself credit for all I have acheived. I took a good look at my pre-op picture back from 2000. And I took one today. I'm a different person. In 8 years I've lost 233lbs. and god knows how many inches. I am no longer diabetic and I can walk for miles and miles. HA HA!

I should be proud of myself. With a 10x risk of something going wrong with my operation, I plunged into a revision and am here to talk about it. I am strong. I survived a leak and I survive every day.

I am not perfect and really don't want to be. I am human.

I give myself credit for what I've done. Others could not have and have not come this far and I am thankful.

I'm proud of you for this VERY positive post.  You should spend more time lifting yourself up this way, it's very becoming!  And you look WONDERFUL and have no reason to be doubting that you're doing less than fantastic with your journey.  You've come a long way!  Keep reminding yourself of the positives!

Hugs,

Lori

You have done so well, you should be really proud of yourself.  Sometimes it is a little uncomfortable to bask in the glow of one's success because we let other "stuff" get in the way.  But you have every reason to feel proud and should remind yourself of that at every opportunity.

woo hoo you should be so proud you kicked diabetes to the curb and everytime you walk you are strengthening your heart, lungs and muscles. No longer will 'sugar' be holding you back and sabotaging a life well lived.

So head up put that gorgous smile on your face only the best is yet too come!

The losing phase is a miracle then maintaining is the grace we continue to receive.

Gratitude is my attitude

Yes, you do whine, complain, and overthink....but as God's (or diety of choice's) critters, we're kind of designed to be that way.   That's a result of us having brains!   You look FANTASTIC!   You've got all the curves in all the right places, and you've a beautiful soul as well.
Congratulations!
