Iron infusions - Ferrlecit?

I'm currently receiving 125mg of Ferrlecit on a weekly basis for 4 weeks.  I don't recall having read about that particular kind on here before & just wondered if anyone else has had it & if they're happy with the results.  Any input would be appreciated.  I'm having my 2nd infusion tomorrow.

Also, the Ferrlecit website recommends a minimum of 8 sessions, so I've emailed my doc to see if 4 will be enough.  If you did have Ferrlecit infusions, how many did you have?

I am using ferrlecit for my iron regime, I had a choice of being infused weekly or up too 
4 x times in a week.  I had a total of  5, rounds to get my levels up. after my test infusion(initial infusion) I did the first round of 4 infusion  once weekly,  continued with four infusion a week. The infusions usually last about an hour, the test infusion lasted 2 hours. 
I will probably need more, my hematologist advise me to stop taking iron supplements as I am not absorbing them.

We send our pregnant patients (regardless of hx. of previous WLS or not) who are severly anemic for these infusions with excellent results.
