When will the hair loss stop and start growing again

I just ordered some.  I am willing to try anything right now.  It didn't say how long the stuff lasts.  It could get pretty expensive if it doesn't last long.

The before and after pictures looked pretty good.

I am almost 13 months out and mine is coming back in nicely.  The new growth is a couple inches long now (see my Michelle Duggar thread) and hopefully will get assimilated into my hair soon rather than float around my head like an aura.  The loss stopped a few months back but the new growth is only now noticeable.

How do you get to the Michelle Duggar thread.  I did a search and couldn't find it.

Thanks

I don't quite get what you mean.    My hair is long and curly so the only part that I ever noticed looking thin was in the front and top - I was a bit "scalpy" looking.  It's coming back in all over but the only noticeable place is the top of my head.  Hence the floaty bangs.

I think the bangs look great and they are so thick.  Right now my problem is where my bangs and front scalp is.  I hope mine comes back like yours.

Does everyone who have this surgery loose their hair? I have been taking biotin for a few weeks now and will have surgery on Nov 4th I really don't want to loose my hair.

I think its due to the trauma of surgery.  Some people are affected more than others, but I don't think you can avoid it altogether.  Someone has some tips on their profile for lessening the affect.  I can't remember exactly, but maybe they'll chime in.

No, not everyone loses their hair - I haven't so far (knock on wood) & I am almost 1 year post-op. I was worried about it also, since I read SO many posts about it here on OH, but I was willing to take the risk of losing some hair temporarilly in order to become healthy! Meanwhile, it never happened to me, thank goodness!

See DSfacts.com - there's some tips from Carolyn M about possibly halting hair loss.  It's kind of a crap shoot, I think, but it's worth a try.
