What to do with 2 diff surgery dates RNY or DS?

I tw the doctors who did my fudi, and the rny doctor who told me I could only have a ds , and he said no problem getting it out of town, the basics of careing for intestinal issues are all the same be it a post op for rny , ds, or decease, The specialty is in the skill set techniques of creating the modification and the equipment and team functioning together.
My previous surgeon would charge 1500.00 if you canceled your date less than 2 weeks pre op. You might check into that.
That being said, soon as I found out I had approval for the DS I canceled my Rny date. I have too much behind the scenes information about the Rny, so even thought I had the approval for Rny for almost a year, I would have had my band taken out and left with nothing rather than get the Rny.
It is hard with 3 kids and not alot of family support. But don't get a surgery you don't want, and a surgery that won't work long term to save some steps. Or, you just may be in a similar situation 4 years from now trying to revise to the DS.
