Kelly,

I agree about feeling them still with you.  We lost my Dad twenty years ago and sometimes when I get myself in a silly mess, I can almost hear him chuckle.  I like to think of them together again and watching over all of us.

Nancy--
I'm so sorry for your loss!  I also lost my Mom, who was my cheerleader and best friend, not too long ago so I understand how it feels.  It gets easier with time but I miss her every day.

Good luck with your surgery.

Lisa,

Thank you for your kind words.  I'm sorry for the loss of your Mom.
Since Momma lived with us, I find myself listening for little noises she made in her room.
She loved chocolate and sometimes I could hear the rustle of the Hershey mini's paper!

Thanks, Anna,

You are so sweet to post so soon after surgery.  It's really appreciated.
I hope you continue to improve rapidly.

I am so sorry for your loss and pain.  My Mom passed away in March and even though she was 91 and I'm 57, it was still a shock and there is a hole in my life that no one else will ever fill.

Ricki..

Thanks for your post.

I'm a year older than you but I was still her "baby" but in a good way.  I hope you find comfort in your wonderful memories, too.

Nancy,
I am so sorry for your loss.  You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers . Your mom will most definitely be smiling down on you from heaven as you start your new life in a week.

Take care and know that you also have a large supportive family here and with the support group to help you should you need it.  Do not hesitate to ask.

Kim,

Everyone has been  great.  I especially appreciate your prayers.

Most of my family live close and have offered to help with anything I need for surgery (before and after).  It is a comfort to know I can come to the DS forum or  any of the wonderful people in the support group for answers to  WL questions.  You guys rock!

Major gentle hugs and strength to you and your mom's wonderfully humongous family.  I'm so glad she was such a support during her life and remember, she will continue to be your cheerleader all the way through your WLS journey.  Your mom sounded like a fighter!!

Sharing about her was fabulous and made me appreciate my 76 yr old mother (fiesty and a fighter too).

Cry at her passing and laugh lots at her memories today.

Hugs,
Ratkity
