sorry for your loss
Just a thought grieving is hard enough but add in the up and downs of hormones with wls. It may be a bit harder. So be sure to be extra kind to yourself and to understand that there is no timetable for grieving.
I am sorry this remarkable woman is not going to have a chance o see you transformed.
Gratitude is my attitude

Amanda,
Thank you for posting. I'll admit the hormones are something that gives me pause. I'm 58 and haven't had a period in 6 years. Hopefully, I won't have too hard a time. I do remember being a fire breathing dragon at times, though.
My PCP is a super fellow and will give any help he can. I've been his patient for nearly twenty years and he's been very supportive of the WLS.

Nancy, Thanks for posting this. It sounds like she had a wonderful life and a wonderful family surrounding her. You have such a positive attitude and I also KNOW that your mother would want you to keep your date and get yourself healthy for your family! Keep your chin up, your mom is in a better place and is still cheering you on every minute of the day!
Nancy,
I am sooo sorry for your loss, my heart goes out to you, It seems it should be a celebration of her life for all she did !!
Being in the medical field, it never stops surprising me how different patients do . I am glad all of you were there for her.
Blessings and sympathy go out to you and your family.
If you need anything, just ask, I can do whatever you need as I am not too far away.....

God love you. Your posting brought tears to my eyes. What you wrote was so beautiful. I'm sure she knew all of her kids were ok and that's our jobs as mother is to raise them as self sufficient adults. I would want the same thing for my daughter as you believe your Mom wanted. I'd want her to be healthy and happy. Getting the DS is going to work on your health which is wonderful. I can't begin to imagine the sense of loss you must feel. It's great that you're celebrating her life, she sounds like a very special woman. Thanks for sharing part of her with us.
Nancy, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know your pain. I lost my mother in March. It leaves such a hole in our hearts. You and your family are in my thoughts. I hope that her memories will help to comfort you. She will be cheering you on all the way as you proceed with your journey. She'll always be with you.
