I have the exact problem and this may be a good solution for me too. Thanks for thinking of it!

Take Care!

I guess I need some education on hernias.  They scare the crap out of me!  So, tell me more about your hernia.

I've never been pregnant or worn maternity pants.  I've been in fat clothes for most of my life though and I guess a little bagginess in the buttock area wouldn't be a problem for me.  Maybe once you start looking good these kind of things are more important.  I think your picture above looks great!  Was that supposed to be a bad picture?

Feeling clueless...

It's not so bad! I had an umbilical hernia before my DS & my surgeon fixed it with mesh during my DS. My PCP told me it was from being so heavy. Lots of people who had any type of abdominal surgery often get incision hernias (near the surgical incision). Wearing a "band" - heavy elastic wrap to wear after your surgery - is supposed to help you avoid getting a hernia. Also, you're supposed the not lift anything over 10 pounds for a while after surgery. If you google "incisional hernia", you can read more about it. I like my photo, but now all I notice is how baggy my pants look! Good luck Michelle!

Whatever works for you.  You can get some at a thrift store so you don't pay an arm and a leg for it.  I have 2 hernias (left and right side above my waiste) I find I have to ware one size up in order to not hurt myself.  the hernias swell through out the day.

Good luck.  You look great can't see it.
