Dr. Joao Marchesini in Brazil
Hi! I'm going to add my backing of Dr. Marchesini to the rest that you have gotten! I went to him a little over four years ago, and have never regretted it! He was so wonderful (a million times better than the Idaho surgeon my sister and cousin went to), and my experience was amazing. As others have mentioned, his website had to be deactivated years ago due to changes in Brazilian laws, so most of the info is now available through the yahoo group and him directly. However, there's a website called the "wayback machine" through which you can access old deactivated websites. ;) So, if you go to http://web.archive.org/web/20060706021622/http://www.drmarch esini.com/, it will take you to his website from July 2006. Many things have changed since then, including the hospital he uses and prices of course, but much of the information on the site is still relevant, including the types of blood tests and pre-op tests, post-op info, DS info, etc. Having that website available was crucial to me in doing my research, so I like to let people know it's still available through the "wayback machine" when I come across questions. Best of luck to you! And if you go to Dr. Marchesini, you'll be making a very wise choice!!!
