My suggestion would be to protein load as much as possible. While I haven't had cancer, my son and my nephew has. My son was only 32 when his was discovered and he only had one kidney at the time due to a birth defect which wasn't found until he was 18 and his kidney was already ruined. They did remove 1/3 or more of his remaining kidney and he's done great with it. He's also been cancer free for 5 years now.
My nephew's kidney cancer was just found last year and they removed 1/2 of that kidney. He also is doing great.
I'm so sorry for your situation but do not give up.
I'm working on the protein, Ricki. It's a good suggestion. It's good to hear your son and nephew have done well. Your son, especially, has had good luck on a tough road. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
