An Embarassing Question / RE: Women's Clothing

I'm wondering if anyone else that suffers with a panni could give me a good recommendation on jeans?  I either end up with the ones where if they fit around the belly they look huge on my legs, or the stretch kind which generally fit but they just hug my belly and I look like I've got a front butt!

I was in a Walmart earlier and thought, what the hell, and grabbed about 5 different brands of jeans and tried them all on.  It was horrible.  So horrible in fact, I left completely depressed.  They all fit in the legs but in the stomach area, I was literally trying to "stuff" my belly in and then forget zipping them up.  UGH.  I gave up completely disgusted.

I'd still like to have more kids, so a tummy tuck/panniculectomy is out of the question any time soon.  Does anyone who suffers with this want to share some words of wisdom?

Thanks :)

Why would a panniculectomy be out of the question?

I don't know what sizes you're talking about, but find a Nordstrom's or some high end store and try Tummy Tuck Jeans--"Not Your Daughter's Jeans."  You can also find them on eBay.

Well I guess it's not really that it's out of the question really, just more like if I'm going to have more kids I'd rather do that first then get any plastic surgery done after so that I'm completely sculptured at that point, LOL

I will try those NYDJ brand... Torrid has them on clearance right now for $37 which seems to be a great price compared to some other sites.  At this point I'm in a size 18.

I am losing weight very unevenly. My legs and butt are skinny and I still have a big tummy. So I am facing a similar problem with fit. I tried on several pairs of jeans today. The closest I got was a pair of maternity jeans. They didn't have s stretch panel, but instead were cut fuller with a little elastic at each side of the waist band. You could even use them if you got pregnant. LOL  I decided I wasn't going to invest in the big price since I am still losing weight.

Interesting idea, maybe next time I'm in Target I'll try on a pair of their maternity jeans - as long as they are not the knit panel front ones, that would be pretty embarassing to get busted wearing, LOL

Here is a place that you send in your size and they custom make jeans for you.  I know that I'll need to do this someday.  I'm short and will have a lot of excess skin.  The prices look reasonable for being custom.

I booked marked this, thanks!  I agree it might be pricey to do before I've leveled out into a permanent size.

I've always had a fat butt & thighs, so my jeans would fit with the panni because I needed the thigh room. Now that I don't have the panni, I hate jeans even more. I wear them but the waist gaps because I need the room for the thighs.

Stretch jeans made for women who aren't 18 usually work. Liz Claiborne is ok. I've worn Lee stretch jeans. Can't remember what else.

I'll check into those, thanks!

My big gut means that all my jeans fit on top but I've got lots of extra fabric in the butt/legs region.

I've pretty much resigned myself to that reality.
