Oh, DS, how do I love thee?

Thank you Sarah!  The train thing really started me thinking about it.  I'll never forget how awful I felt just for wanting a seat.  Half the time, I'd stand because I didn't want to go through that every day.

Tassia, are we allowed to have Dreamfield's pasta while we're in the losing stage of DS?  I'm curious to see what it tastes like and I'd like to try it as soon as possible...

By the way, great day you had!!

Janina, I cooked a cup of it (dry) on Saturday for this pasta salad.  It made a whole bowl.  I had it Saturday, Sunday and today, and I haven't put a dent in it!  I probably have about 10 noodles in each serving.  The protein is just too important.  So the carb count is minimal.  And like I said, it took me two hours to eat 10 noodles and 3 oz of chicken.. lol.  According to the label, it was only about 8 carbs.  That I can afford.  It tastes great.  Just like regular pasta.

Janina, I eat Dreamfields and I know Jenna Lynn does too. It's only something like 5-8g carbs a serving. Anytime I make it I try to sneak in extra protein in with it, usually with chicken or tuna. So I'll make a chicken alfredo (alfredo sauce is pretty low in carb compared to jar spaghetti sauce), or mac-n-cheese, or tuna macaroni salad. Some people have trouble tolerating Dreamfields, but I've been fine with it (tried it about 6 weeks post-op). It's positively delicious if you're able to tolerate it. Tasted JUST LIKE regular pasta, no weird texture or funky aftertaste. It's a...Dream. Hahahaha...

I think it's really a matter of individual choice.

In my case, I don't use it daily, but as a once a week or every-other-week treat. I tend to load it up with a lot of protein to make it work for me.

I have yet to notice it negatively affecting my weight loss or digestive system.

Thank you for posting your great day.  I don't think I stop enough and consider those (to some) little things that most people just take for granted.  I am indeed very grateful for what my DS has given me, and is doing for me.  I'm truly inspired by your words.
