I humbly volunteer to be the guinea pig on this one:
Take a bag of shirataki noodles, rinse, rinse, rinse and dry thoroughly.  Deep-fry till crispy and sprinkle season or garlic salt on them.    I'll let you all know.
It's President's Day and I'm off school.  I need to get my humble ass off the computer and get some housework done!

You aren't the only teacher who needs to get housework done!  lol  But it's so much more fun to stay on here!

I bought a bag of shirataki noodles on one of my diet phases and the noodles lasted in my frig. longer then my diet did!  Ended up throwing them away and haven't bought any since.  Looks like I will have to try these if you come back with a good recommendation.

Have a great day off!

I've done that alot, and they are good.   They take on the flavors of what you cook.   Make sure you rinse the crap out of them first.  I also put them in the microwave for one minute and let them air dry.  They do have a rubber band kind of consistency, so I also take my kitchen shears and chop them up a bit.

I took a pack of them recently and got them ready.  I always cut mine into thirds.  Then I added in some beef boullion and let it sit.  I fried up some squid in ink sauce and mixed it into the shiratake.  YUMMMMY!!!

Oh no you di'int.

Let us know.

I tried them thanks to you and I actually do rather like them.  I make up a spicy cheese sauce for them though.  Heavy cream, cheddar cheese, red pepper flakes, butter, etc.
