Carb Watchers how did you do today?

I got off to a bad start and was late getting my lunch = too many carbs, not quite enough protein.  So I'm working on the protein now, and will have another protein drink before bedtime.  Did you do better than me, I hope?

I did pretty good today.  I had a lot of salad for lunch, which was a little high in carbs, but aside from that, I did alright.

So-so......really good all day, and had some breading on my shrimp for dinner, an almond cookie and some nasty-tasting chinese cream-puff thing.

Did okay until dinner. I had cottage cheese and pineapple (carby but in fruit so I don't mind), then 2 grilled drums from KFC for lunch, 2 sausage sticks and a string cheese for a snack, then a bag of peanuts for another snack and then came dinner.....2 small pieces of pizza. 30g of carb each. So I'm over 50 but well under 100 so could be worse I guess. Lots of protein though since I had 2 shakes as well.

I think I'm going through a bit of carb withdrawl. I didn't lose any weight this past week. Ok, not a big deal since I've had steady losses every week since October. I also am finishing up my time of month too and typically gain weight, which I did (3 pounds) and then lose it. So I've been super good today. I ate 4 fish fillets with the breading removed, a one egg omlet with some onions and cheese, mini mozz. balls with some olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I really want some popcorn, but I'm resisting. I'm gonna go get more mozz. balls and cut up a tomato. I did pretty good today!

I had an exceptionally weird moment this morning. Overnight I was up constantly with bathroom difficulties, shall we say. Well, first thing this morning, I was feeling hungry, weak, thirsty and just plain miserable. I opened the fridge and saw some chocolate covered strawberries that my friend made for us for Valentine's Day. I grabbed one of those huge, juicy berries and practically rammed it into my mouth. I was a woman possessed!

One won't hurt, right?

The rest of the day was great. Bacon, eggs, low-carb bread, edd drop soup (well, guess that's kinda carby) and roast pork. I just got home and I'm about to have some filet of sole.

Fit Day:

Will somebody please tell me how they copy and paste their fit day into this message?  I cannot get it to work from any angle.  Not print screen, not simple copy and paste, and not copy and paste off of the print page?

THIS WAS DIFFICULT.  I WAS CRAVING sugar.  The left over valentine's day candy.  The box of cinnamin toast crunch:  ANYTHING SUGARY.  I ate peanut butter instead.

This is not easy.  :(  I need more options that cheese sticks.  BUT I DID IT.

kit, you did reeeeeeeeeeally good.  I don't like when I crave sugar, and I try to relate it to other things that may be happening in my life--but I'm not sure there's any connection.  PB is a good substitute.

I don't know about Fitday--it may be your computer that's the problem..

Well, I did ok.  Could've done better, I'm sure.

Had iced coffee and crustless quiche lorraine for breakfast - nummy!

Then, a student brought me a donut.  You can't refuse them when they give you gifts.  I should've said I'd eat it later and discreetly given it away, but um, no.  I ate it.  So, not so good with the carbs.

Lunch was good - tuna salad in 1/4 of a hollowed out cucumber, celery with peanut butter, greek yogurt, and 2 of Val's PB cookies.

Dinner was Ok-ish, too.  I had 5 Thai Shrimp Gyoza dumplings with a big plate of stir fry veggies and shrimp in a sweet chili pepper sauce.

For a snack, I just had 2 pepperoni & cream cheese roses - using deli sliced pepperoni (the big stuff), put a strip of cream cheese near the top of a slice, fold it in half, and roll it around itself until it looks like a rose.  Put anothe smear of cream cheese on another slice of pepperoni, fold it in half, and wrap it around the first one.  It makes a very lovely rose.  I made another 3 of them for part of my lunch tomorrow.

I'm just trying to break the junk food habit, so I'm ok with the dumplings and the sauce having carbs.  I've found that if I get too strict with the carbs, it fuels some real OCD behavior that I'd rather avoid.  I can't do extremes.
