Indecision...or not?
I'm 4 1/2 years post DS. At my highest weight loss, I was down to 175 at 6'2 and frankly, looked skeletal (very large frame woman). I'm holding between 198-202 for almost 1 year now. At my lowest, I wore a size 10 (I've got excess skin that I can't afford to get snipped and it tucks nicely into the front of my trousers). Now that I've gained 25 pounds, I'm finding a 12 more comfortable, but I cannot help beating myself up about growing out of the 10's!!! (Old tapes playinbg in my head). I'm almost 49 years old and a BMI of 26-27, which my family MD says is great for me. So...whaddya think...should I try to pare down to the 10's for vanity or leave well enough alone?
I think if you are comfortable with where you are, and healthy I don't see any reason for you to look skeletal and guant just to get into a size 10. Your current BMI is in a normal range, right? I know old tapes are hard to put away, but you should remind yourself daily if necessary, that you are healthy and comfortable.
Remember too that a size is just something someone else puts on the tag. When I was 16/17 years old I wore a size 18/20 and weighed 170 pounds. Now I weigh 205 and wear a 14/16/18. Go figure!

Denise, before you decide what you want to do and what you want to weigh, get your body fat % taken so you know what it really is. My BMI is 28 or there about; but my body fat % is in the idea 12-23% range. I used to feel like I should try to get to a normal BMI, but that would mean losing another 35 - 55 pounds and that just ain't a gonna happen unless I get cancer or something similar.
