I bought one of those little single serving blenders and I'm ready for some protein shake ideas.  I would like some that I can throw fruit or yogurt or something into.  To be completely honest with you if I can taste the protein mix I probably won't fini****  LOL  Just keeping it real.

Help me out!  What's your favorite?

Champion Pure Whey Stack; Cookies & Cream flavor powder and whole milk, shake it up, then add some crushed ice; IMO it's delicious! I would drink it just for the taste, yum yum yummy!!!

Wow, sounds good Kerry. How many grams of protein and carbs are in a serving?

I drink two scoops at a time, with about  8 oz of whole milk, so you have to add the protein and carbs of the milk to this, but the Cookies & Cream has; 48 grams of protein and 8 grams of carbs.

I like most all the Pure Whey Stack flavors, Cookies & Cream is just my fav. I also like the Chocolate, but it's a little too strong for my taste, so I mixi with equal parts of Vanilla, then it's almost as good as the Cookies & Cream to me. It's a little thicker and that's one of the reasons I like the Cookies & Cream so much, it's like drinking a slightly thinned chocolate milk.

I agree though that the protein shakes are a real personal taste, Barb loves the Chocolate and doesn't care that much for the Cookies & Cream, so you may want to get some samples from Vitalady. Her favorite by the way is a mix of Stack Chocolate and IDS Vanilla/Cinnamon; I've tried it and like it too.

And for me, if I had to drink another Cookies and Cream shake I would probably throw it right back up!  Sadly, with protein shakes it is a very individual thing and you may only find what's right for you by experimenting.  The only two flavours I like from the Champion Whey Stack line are Banana Scream and Cocoa Mocachino.  If you are new to shakes, I suggest you buy a variety pack of samples from Vitalady.com so you are not stuck with flavours you don't like.  I'm a serious chocolate lover but the shake in this brand is not for me either.

Cheers,
Mickie

It's not a shake, but I like to take a small tub of greek yogurt (plain),put it a bowl, add a scoop of banana scream protein and a little bit of banana in it. stir it up and top with some chopped nuts, It's good! like pudding!
try it!

Ooo, I'm going to try this.  Have you tried it with any other flavors of protein powder?

These are some of my favorites.  I use the Champion Nutrition Pure Whey Stack, but the recipes will work with whatever your own favorite protein powder happens to be.

Chocolate – Peanut Butter Shake

4 – 6 oz milk (or water if desired)

1 scoop chocolate protein powder

1 tablespoon peanut butter

½ cup ice

Place ingredients in a blender.  Whirl.

Banana – Peanut Butter Shake

Same as above except use Banana Scream Protein powder

Vanilla Frappe

1 cup strong coffee

1 scoop Vanilla protein powder

¼ cup milk

½ to ¾ cup ice

Mix protein powder with Half & Half until well mixed and smooth.  Gradually add coffee and stir.  Add the coffee mixture and the ice in a blender.  Blend until smooth and delicious.  Can also be served over ice instead of blended.

Mocha Frappe

Same as above except use Chocolate Protein powder.

Cinnamon Vanilla Latte

1 cup (or desired amount) brewed coffee

1 scoop Vanilla Protein powder

Sprinkle of cinnamon to taste

Add a small amount of warm (not hot) coffee to the protein powder and stir into a smooth slurry.  Gradually add remaining coffee.   Stir until combined.  At this point the coffee mixture can be heated in the microwave until it is about 150 – 160 degrees.  (Note:  Champion Nutrition Pure Whey Stack can be heated to this temperature.  Not all protein powders can be heated to this temperature.)

Mocha Latte

Same as above except use Chocolate Protein powder and omit the cinnamon.

Banana Nut Oatmeal

1 serving plain oatmeal prepared according to package directions

1 scoop Banana Scream Protein Powder

1 tsp (or to taste) toasted pecans or walnuts (optional)

Milk to taste

Add Banana Scream Protein powder to prepared plain oatmeal.  Oatmeal will be very thick now so gradually add mil****il desired consistency.  Stir in toasted nuts.  Serve warm.

Note:  Instead of the milk called for in the above recipes you can substitute Soy Milk, Half & Half, or your favorite milk alternative – according to your personal preference.

For quick and easy protein supplementation mix a scoop of powder with 4 ounces of water.  Stir or shake (if you have a shaker****il well blended.  Pour over ice if desired.  This is an easy way to get in your protein without taking up too much room in your stomach.

If you like coffee, try the Champion Mocha Cappucino.  I use a double scoop, mix in 8 oz of mootopia milk and stick the whole thing in the freezer for about thirty minutes.  Take it out, stir it again, then I put a whole bunch of whipped cream on the top.  I don't like protein mix taste either, but I'm okay with this because the smell isn't bad and it tastes more like coffee than anything.
