Personality change post-surgery?

I haven't changed.  The issues I have had in my relationship after surgery came from the following issues:
1.  Him trying to control my eating (he tried to keep me away from bacon, can you imagine?)  Minor issue in the overall scheme of things, and we worked through it.
2.  My hormonal swings.  Prepare your SO for this and take him/her to support groups with you.  You may have to say "I'm hormonal today, don't take it personally, I need to be alone" or whatever, and if you both are aware that it will probably happen you can handle it better.
3.  Farts.  Watching what I eat helps, pro-biotics help, spraying air freshener helps, and the fact that he has now had the DS too & is making his own contributions in this category helps too.

Just stay honest and aware and y'all will do fine.

I am just 7 months out and have lost just over 100lbs. I don't think I have changed. My husband also says I am still the same person. I have not had issues with the hormone thing, maybe because I am in my mid 50's and had a hyster 7 years ago.  We have been married for almost 36 years. I have to agree that usually if something happens after the WLS is was probably there before just not being delt with, ignored or whatever. I know several people who have has this surgery and one of them is now divorced but there were problems with his marriage long before the surgery was ever thought of. Wo just reassure him you are NOT his ex-wife, and he has to trust you.

Let's see.  I've been accused of dressing "younger" and having more confidence, but that's it.  The people on the main board seem to think we all become *****es after the DS, though.
