Moobectomy
I am probably putting the cart before the horse here, but I am an anal retentive planner by nature...(and I work the night shift......so I have plenty of time to ruminate - euphemism for "surf the web")....but someone posted about plastics earlier and it got me thinking that I need to start an account at the bank to start to divert a little bit of $$$ in case I need PS. Since it is "cosmetic" and therefore, not covered, I will need to pay out of pocket for any work I need. I am hoping that my skin rebounds since I am quite muscular underneath all the "love cushion" and since I have not yo-yo dieted my whole life....(just a slow and steady wins the race up the scale sort of situation)...I am hoping to have some decent skin elasticity in my abdominal region. I am built like the big apple on the Fruit of the Loom commercials....well probably more like the pear (was there a pear?)
(look MA, no pear!)---- Thinner SOLID legs and muscular hynie (is that how it is spelled - if I were German it would be "heinie"
-

So, enough rambling and onto the question...............
Any medical tourist recommendations out there for plastics abroad ----- inexpensive and SAFE, of course, with a nice beach and a couple of pina coladas or margaritas thrown in for the recovery period...........just kidding........I don't need a beach.
BTW...........the wife alluded to her desire for a quick rhinoplasty and/or boob-lift at the same time.
Please advise.

but I am of italian-French descent). I lose weight first in my gut and face....a quick chinectomy and more defined jawline are the first hallmarks of any weight loss I enjoy. My main concern are my MOOBS! I sort of foresee a gynecomastia situation going on and I am preparing for the need for surgical intervention if that is the case----like a bilateral Chop Chop (a la Miss Piggy):

You're not putting the cart before the horse at all, at least not compared to me. I had mine done 2 years ago because I've always had man boobs even when thin.
As far my procedure went, it was regular lipo, not the more expensive gynecomastia. It cost me about $1200 because they were having a lipo sale. My wife got a few procedures done at the same time. We used Belo (belomed.com, i think) in the Philippines since it's so close to us. She does the celebrities in that country, apparently. And I think they may have a sale at the end of every year. Not sure about that.
However, looking back, I would prefer to use Bumrungrad Hospital in Thailand. They seem more professional and polished to me, and include a stay at the hospital itself. While Bumrungrad charges more for each procedure, it seemed to me that Belo divided the same surgery into more procedures so I suspect that the overall price would be about the same.
In any case, don't expect to be out on the beach during recovery. You're gonna be leaking fluids from the incisions, bruised all over your body, and generally feeling sleepy for a few days afterwards.

Another option is to check into a nearby University's residency programs for plastics. You could have a surgical resident do your surgery under the supervision of a board certified plastic surgeon and get a nice price discount. There are lots of folks on the plastics forum here at OH that have done this and had good experiences. You might post on your state forum to find folks who have used specific programs in your area and get their experience. Good luck to you.
You might want to look at this list on this site. It is a national average but at least it gives you a frame of reference. http://smartplasticsurgery.com/surgery/costs.html
As to the Resident Training Programs I have sent you the list of programs in La and Tx. My list is a couple of years old but I think, that it is pretty accurate.
