Complications

Was 60 on my surgery date,  went out of the country by myself.  Had a very complicated revision from an old stomach stapling and came through with fllying colors with NO COMPLICATIONS.  Lost all my weight in 9 months and am down to a size 8.  160#s 5'11" TALL.  D.....................

Congratulations!!!  It was a pleasure to read your advice.

No more so than with any other surgery.

I was 52 at the time of surgery. I had Type ll diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesteral, sleep apnea and GERD.  My PCP and my surgeon did not mention my age and both thought it was a good idea to have the surgery.

I was also a revision from an old stapling procedure and came through with flying colors. I had and have not had any complications and all of my co morbidities have completely resolved other than the GERD and that is improved. I went back to work full time at about 2 1/2 weeks post-op.

Thanks!!  I was 54 or 55 in that pic!  You just can't see the wrinkles, LOL I need to get a new picture as I am almost 57 now.  I feel about 25 though.
