Non Sugar Alcohol Gums / Mints?

I was curious after reading the stinky **** post.... someone mentioned sugar free mints & gum giving them gas.  I remember early on they gave me stomach cramps.

Are there any mints & gum (the minty breath freshening kind) that don't have sugar alcohols in them?  Seems like all the ones sold today are made with them.  The only "regular sugar" gums are those fruity bubble gums.

Wrigley's has some that are made with a combination of regular sugar and aspartame.  Aspartame is an artificial sweetner but not a sugar alcohol.  Doublemint, Juicy Fruit, Spearmint, Winterfresh, and Big Red are all sweetened with sugar and aspartame.

Altoids are made with regular sugar.

In Canada at our dollar store "Dollarama" there is a sugar gum called EVERMINTS.  I have a problem with artificial sweeteners and had a hard time finding gum with real sugar.  It is not in the stand by the cash usually.  It is in the aisle with all the candy and junk.  Might want to check a dollar store in your area!

As far as mints go the only ones I have found that I can stomach that DO NOT have the sugar alcohols in them are Altoids in the BIG can. The Mini Altoids have sugar alcohols in them so beware!!!

As for non sugar alcohol gum go with what Stephanie had recomended for me as well. Glee gum. It is carried by Central Market, Sprouts and Whole Foods. It comes in all sorts of flavors and can be bought online as well. http://gleegum.com/
