I'm with you on the whitewater thing, slow water would be OK though. Not sure on the caves, but I don't think so, although if everyone wants to go I can hang around and wait while I sample some of the local brew. LOL

Everything else is good with me, I am more or less am along for the ride and meeting good friends!

I am also pretty flexible. I can go with restaurants, picnics or a combo, like picnics for lunch and restaurants for dinner.

I think I will just let you guys entertain me! LOL  J/K

This is getting better and better!

Ah, you just jogged my memory. There's a nice little bar/steakhouse maybe 15 minutes from the caverns where we brew samplers could hang, and it's on the way to the hot springs. In fact, that's one of the possible party spots for weekend dancing. On a Saturday morning/noon, there will be hordes of bikers there, which is always entertaining. Out there they do poker runs on the weekends for charitable causes. It's really cool. The bikers will get a maybe 200-300 mile ride through fantastic country, with several scheduled pit stops and poker stops. Various clubs work together pretty much from late June through August, and lots of money gets raised for good stuff that way.

i don't think anyone is jumping up and down to do the caves.  So maybe we can find an equally interesting substitute---like SHOPPING!!!

LOL Shopping is always an option. We'll especially have good shopping opportunites on the VC trip, many funky little stores to enjoy.

Do you know when you are going to confirm the dates?  I have a specific flight itinerary I am hoping to get.

Yup, it's a go for the weekend of the 30th! I'm off to start a new thread about it now, and just sent you a PM.

I'm with Michele,  I'm very flexible.  I like fast cars, fast horses, fast rivers but I'm going for the PEOPLE and scenery.  Becky,  where are u flying into again?? D...........

Those of us coming from the East will probably find that Bozeman is cheapest for flying. Since you're coming from more Western routes, check out prices into Butte as well. You have a few more options from your direction that we don't.

Heck, you might even check out Helena, but I doubt that would be cheaper.

Elizabeth - Let me jump in here and give you a hand wherever you'd like.  I noticed no one really jumped on the Virginia City/Nevada City options, but I really LOVE that idea.  VC is such a great place - historic reenactments,  the Brewery Follies, the best steak I've ever had (really!), and the narrow gauge train between the two cities, plus all the cool stuff at Nevada City.  You really should plan a day there.  It would be a shame to miss it.  Of course, I'm just assuming that I've been invited along.  Do you have dates?  I need to be sure I can be a part of the fun.

Sounds like you've got some enthusiasm for our Montana going - good for you, girl,  You GO!

Let God's presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom
to sing, dance, praise, and love.  It is there for each and every one of us.

ABSOLUTELY you're invited!!! Where'd you get the great steak???

Hop in here with more ideas, please, by all means!

I'm very pro-VC tour day, too. It's a fantastic ride from TF to VC. We can do a marvelous loop going through the Madison Valley one way and the Ruby Valley the other way and see some great country.
