Getting ready for the DS..
What things did you do to get ready for your DS?
I have to get a root canal and crown but have those appointments for next week. I purchased a new matress and recliner(for post-op) and updated my will and living will. Childcare is set up. I am ordering the rest of my vites this week and have a few things(protein shakes, isopure, crystal light, etc.) ready for immediately post-op. Is there anything else that anyone else did before surgery? I am a planner and just want to make sure that I have gotten everything done. Thanks!

I didn't own any stretchy pants like sweats and I didn't own a lot of pjs before surgery so I bought stuff that I could lounge around in during my recovery. You want to make sure that you have things that won't bother your incisions on your belly.
I also liked having a blender bottle so that I wouldn't have to dig out an actual blender. I got the smaller one since I knew I wasn't going to be making any huge shakes. You might want to get some different teas as well. I bought a million things of crystal light flavors and hated them all. I drank a lot of herbal tea the first few months post-op (Sleepy Time from Celestial Seasonings and Zen from Tazo were my favorites). Oh and I didn't own a crock pot before surgery I am sure glad that I got one for after surgery. I'd make a nice juicy roast and shred the meat and scoop out a tablespoon or two at a time a few times a day to get in good protein that went down easy.
Good luck to you

Yay, I'm glad you are coming. It'll be great to see you.
There are generally a couple of clothing exchanges a year. When I spoke to Paula and asked her permission to do this one, she said there'd be another around October at the time of the Walk from Obesity. By then, you'll definitely have some clothes to ditch!
