Well; of all the nerve!!!!!
Went to see my PCP today about my knee pain and he had the nerve to tell me; "ya know, you're not 28 anymore". Harrumph!!!!!
He did admit that I sure don't seem like or have the physique of a 58 year old either and that my BP of 110 / 70 and cholesterol are now outstanding etc. And that he thinks it's great that I want to run and that what ever the problem is, it's not serious. He did a pretty thorough exam on my knee and it's nice and tight and very stable. He had me go get it X rayed and will call me tomorrow with what he can see and he wants me to see a physical therapists that specializes in athletes.
So much so far on the knee pain saga ~

I feel your pain! I just went to get a Diet Coke at Bojangles today and the lady decided to give me the senior discount. I'M NOT EVEN 40 YET!!!!! Sorry for the yelling, but my self esteem did not need to take any more hits at this point, you know? Oh, well. Just be glad you're fit and healthy. I'm really happy for you and can't wait to join you.

That seems rude to me. Why would someone just decide to go ahead and give you the senior discount? That's not something you give someone unless they ask for it! Did you say anything to her about it? Yep. It's pretty obvious because where it hurts now is like 1/2 square inch or 2 sq cm and it's right there where my hamstring intersects or hooks up to the MCL. At least I think that's what he said. I was really releived that my knee is nice and tight and very stable, there's no pain from moving it side to side etc. He thinks it's just a little overwork because I've never really been a runner and my muscles that connect there are pretty strong. The X rays are to make sure there's no spur or crack hiding out anywhere in there.
