Surgeon and "Normal" BMI - Very unscientific poll
This is very interesting, Julie. I won't participate yet, because I'm not done losing. Having started at SMO, I'm thrilled at 8 months out to have 80 % EWL and an "overweight" BMI. I'm very hopeful I will make it to goal.
I feel like I have noticed that some surgeons patients tend to have an easier time getting to a normal BMI than others. I've wondered how much might have to do with surgical techique vs. other factors.

Yup - this is what I'm kind of curious about. I in no way want anyone to feel "abnormal" or inferior because they didn't reach what the medical community terns a "normal" BMI. We all know that for us former MO's, a "normal" BMI is probably very much on the scrawny side! I see pics of folks like PP, Chrissy and Melody, and I see "NORMAL" written all over them! This post really exemplifies how varied body weight vs. body size is as well.
