I'd say it was a 5-6.  I started noticing hair all over the house then I would run my fingers thru my hair and loose 10 strands everytime around month 4.  I am almost 8 months out and I am no longer losing hair and my hair looks good and is regrowing well.

I have a friend that had RNY and she is nearly bald.

I'm a year out, and I'm getting a rec from my doc to see a dermatologist when my doc calls me with my BW results on Friday.  Mine is still coming out by the handfulls.  It's horrid.  Would it stop me from having had the surgery again?  NOT ON YOUR LIFE.  :)  I'd put mine at about a 7 or 8.  I had hair to my waist, and I've cut it to my shoulders.  It IS growing, I've cut it a few times (it could really use another cutting, but I'd love to grow it back out again to my waist) and I can see new stuff, but the new stuff falls out too.  Biotin, Zinc, D...none of it has done a damn bit of good.

I'd say probably a 1 or 2.  I started losing hair around 3 months post-op and it stopped around 6 months post-op.  I have thick, dense, coarse hair and I was the only one who could tell that I had any loss.  Actually, I liked it when it was thinner.

Here's the wierd thing though.  When my hair grew back, it came in very curly.  I had body and a slight wave before but the new hair is curly.  It has stayed curly too, even 3 1/2 years post-op.
