You will have ups and downs this early out.  It's all normal and most of us went through it, sweetie.  It does get better.
Seems like I started on the chewable ADEK at about 2 weeks but it made mewhen I tried to take it so I waited a week and it was better.  About that time I started taking calcium; I think it was 1200 to start with and gradually increased it to full dose.  At 6 weeks or so I began taking regular doses of A E D & K.  All but the E are tiny caps. anyway so they were easy.    By that time you will be able to drink easier.   Did your surgeon give you a calendar of when to begin vits and different foods?  If so try to stick to his regime not mine.

Hi Dena !!!
{{{ big hugs !!}}}

I could not get the chewables down either so I just waited till I could swallow.. and even then it was almost 4 to 6 weeks, It was all I could do to get all the fluid down and then some protein!!

Just try and follow what you DR has on their list, but you DO have what your body has built up before surgery...  As long as you get on a routine by 6 weeks it is alot easier ....

Good Luck !!

I started taking all of my vits (per Vitalady's schedule) at week three.  Was doing a very modified version for the week prior.

I hope your feeling better, I take mine in a powder form and so I have been taking them sense I came home. Its not bad to drink them, I how ever dont seem to get enough Water (I mix it with a little Crystal light because its tastes nasty if not)..
I also take a b12 that desolves under the tonge and a chewable D. Other then that my powder has all the other vits and mins in them. I was lucky to find it and now my DR is telling his patents about it. But I fugured the sooner the better.
Just remember you will have ups and downs. I'm a month out and I struggle, and know that its just part of the journy. (((Hugs)))

What kind of powder vitamins are you taking and where did you find them?

Sounds like a great idea.

I went into my local nature store and showed them all the stuff I'm suppose to be taking they found a powder form for me its calls "all One, original formula, Multiple vitamin & Mineral Powder", its Vegetarian
This is the stuff but I bought it for like 25$

http://store.nexternal.com/shared/StoreFront/default.asp?CS=allone&StoreType=BtoC&Count1=948925197&Count2=866065621&ProductID=4&Target=products.asp
