Thanks! I couldn't remember who it was. That sounds about right. I will message her.

Pre-DS when I had significant hair loss after the death of my mother I used Nioxin products which seemed to help over time.  You can get it in a lot of salons and places that sell hair products.  I also took Biotin and Hair and Skin vitamins long-term.

For the past two years I have been using WEN Lavender Conditioning Cleanser.  It is a gentle non-sudsing cleanser and conditioner.  It is wonderful and very kind to your hair and color.  I have fine hair and love the feel, smell and texture of my hair when I use it. I purchase it through QVC.com.

I am now a DSer so we'll see what happens with my hair.  I just know I never want to be without this hair product--using it is like enjoying a mini-spa.

I have seen infomercials for WEN and have thought about using it. I know Melissa Gilbert and Valerie Bertinelli promote it on the ads. I am glad to hear from someone in real life who likes it too.  Thanks so much!

I am using nioxin and washing my hair twice a week. Unfortunately I have insanely curly hair so I have to iron if if I only wash twice a week, otherwise it gets matted and gross and impossible to manage. I know the ironing damages it but its better than the 10,000 hairs I have to rip out of my head trying to comb through a tangled mess. I keep my hair in braids a lot too and I recently just chopped off 6 inches. Its now just a little below my shoulders. I figured less weight would take off some of the stress and its probably time I cut it anyway.

Thanks so much! I have no idea what that must be like. You are blessed with a challenge of curls that a lot of women pay dearly for in the salon to try to duplicate. Yikes!

I use Burt's Bees Voluminizing Shampoo and Conditioner. I also have a prescription for Nizoral and that helped with hair growth.
