A couple of Montana photos....
Oh honey, cowboys don't need to get paid for that kind of entertainment! They know it's part of their mystique and they LOVE it. Now post some good stories for our faithful readers and drum up some business for NEXT year :-p. You had such marvelous ideas, too, for how to make a larger group work. I'd love to see you participate in the planning here.
This was not my first in-person meeting with other DSers, as you know, but I think it was the first extended gathering for the other ladies--and the first 3d meeting at all for Rena. It was SO COOL to be able to talk about the usual stuff (protein, vitamins, **** gas, body image, clothing size etc. heehee), but especially to talk about the dramatic emotional and personal changes involved. This particular group was very well suited for that kind of conversation, so I considered that a particular blessing.
We also agreed in advance that there would be NO embarrassment about potty stop needs, odd belly issues, unexpected tiredness, etc. We agreed to splurge on some carby treats--a TINY amount of food, we all realized, compared to before surgery, but splurges nonetheless, like a little ice cream each day, and several stops at the incomparable Wheat Montana main bakery, which was right outside our motel door www.wheatmontana.com --and to just not worry about farting. If one of us rolled down the window, we just all rolled down our windows HA! (And yes, that happened several times.) I carried my trusty Ozium and other spray, had candles in our room, and the windows opened JUST FINE. The other ladies moved upwind a few times and that was fine.
Now we're all back to some version of regular life and paying attention to fartogenic stuff. I dunno about them, but it'll be tomorrow before I'm "stable" again.
Mega kudoes to my lovely guests for putting such great thought and care into making this a time to never forget!
