WOW 7 years!! You are wonderful to still be paying it forward. I took those words to heart and I sing the praises of the DS whenever possible. Some people act like you're wasting their time and then continue to call it stomach stapling. BUT some listen carefully to every word you say and you can see the light bulb go on in their eyes. THAT makes it worth telling every time. I can't wait till September and after so they can see my progress and truely understand. I really appericate your words of wisdom and yes even your "tough Love"!  Happy surgiversary!! Rock on sister. HUGS

Ms. Diana, you are the most wonderful person ever and as my "carb angel" I whole heartedly say to kick yourself.   Once upon a time, I told you that I envision you on my shoulder telling me not to eat that sugar filled crap, so straighten up that tiara and get busy on yourself too.

You are so wonderfully motivating and helpful to everyone here.   Thank you for paying it forward and know we always appreciate your knowledge and input.

You are awesome!

Diana - Congratulations on 7 years, and best wishes for many more. I hope your weight gain is temporary and that you find you can taper the antidepressants painlessly. If anyone can find a way to cope, you can.

Thank you for being the crowned queen of DS in ways deeper than the image on your avatar. As these responses testify, so many have benefited from your unwavering, intelligent, even strategic defense of the DS.

You slapped me around a bit to get my attention and then gently guided me towards saving myself and others!  You totally rock!

I'm on board with your quest to reign in the carbs!  I gained a bit while on the feeding tubes (no control over high calories!)   ..... You can do it!  I can do it!  we've both got the right tool to make it work for us!

Best wishes to you as you smooth out your current wrinkles in life.  You've sure been on a roller coaster this past year!  Kudos to you for hanging on!!!!

Congrats to you friend!

Happy 7 year surgiversary! I too have learned so much from your posts and appreciate you still paying it forward on the boards even after all these years. You will be able to kick that carb monster to the curb and control it in no time. Hope you have a wonderful night and can still go out and celebrate you tonight! You are my DS Hero.

Congrats on 7 years! Can you imagine how many people, whether they want to admit it or not, that you've led to the great DS life?

Congrats on the surgiversary!

It sounds like you've been through a lot in the last year or so, so cut yourself a little slack. I'm sure the weight will fall back off with a med adjustment and the weather cooling making any form of exercise less miserable.

The winters are so cold in VA that you'll burn mad calories just generating body heat to keep warm.
