Well, a step-Great Grandmother.  My husband's grandson from his first marriage and his wife had their first baby this morning, a little boy!

What are some good nicknames for a Great Grandmother?

(NOT pp!!!)

How wonderful. Life is such a precious thing. As far as nicknames goes our grandson calls us grandma and grandpa and then calls my father his great grandfather his gramps. Now if my mother were still alive I am guessing she would be called Grannie. Now that I think about it, no way she would have stood for that so not sure what she would have come up with except knowing her it would be clever. Good luck with the names, and Congrats. Karen

Congratulations! You've got a great selection of names to choose from, Nana, Nonna, G.Nan, even Nance would be cute. I wish I had tried to choose a name for GK's to call me.

CONGRATS!  My grandson calls me Mummum  so not really grandma (he calls his other grandma Ya ya, think because she never tells him NO lol).  G-G is a good one, what about using grandma in the language of your nationality?  I looked into the Swedish variation and Mum mum is really close IF I remember right ....would give some sense of family and heritage too!  Again congrats!
