I'm gonna do the last item on my DS bucket list!!!
LOL - when you posted this I had to smile. I just told my DH yesterday that that and getting up on water skis were my last two "bucket list" items. He said that a co-worker has horses and he'd talk to her about allowing me to ride. Have fun!

Next year!! Block out a nice chunk of time in July NOW. I haven't heard from anyone about specific date preferences yet, except that Stormy can't do the last weekend (July 30), so I'm going to go out on a limb and say to kinda sorta plan for weekend of July 16. A Wednesday arrival and Tuesday departure would give us the best possible hunk of time to do lots of stuff and still have a little breathing room to rest and recover, I think. Bonnie and Darma got pretty tired from me running them around like a maniac LOL. You gotta take the high altitude and intense sun into account.
Meh, even when I worked cows I wasn't exactly a cowgirl LOL. The horses were generally better at working cows than I was. Indeed, one time I used my sister's horse to try to bring back an escaped critter before my dad found out about it and killed me. The horse cut the cow just fine....but I didn't cut with the horse and broke my arm for my trouble. (At least my dad didn't kill me for losing the cow!)
OH HOW FUN EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
This is on my list too, and it involves a knight in shining armour and I'm in a princess gown......but I digress.....
Ride em girrrrrrrrrl!

Well, start planning NOW for next July then! Aim for about July 10 onward. I promise to run you into the ground enjoying the wide open spaces, eating yummy dead things, consuming at least two of every single microbrew made in the state, educating your Aussie-Euro ass off about the joys of agribusiness....And I'll get your picture on the laps of as many cowboys as you want!
