Are most open or Laproscopic???

Had lap DS, no PICC line, no feeding tube, drain only, all meds given via IV while in hospital; by mouth upon discharge.  Having had open major abdominal surgery previously and now lap DS I definitely think there is a big difference in the comfort level and recovery time with the lap.  So glad I went that route!

 You've gotten some really great answers so far.  I had a friend that had hers done open and she couldn't get in and out of bed for like two weeks and slept on the couch so that kinda freaked me out.
