Oh my, you must be counting the days!! Yup, hang out here so you don't get tempted to punch folks in the face. That's not a cool thing to do, although the fantasy is sometimes very rewarding.

(To which my BIL says, "The real thing is NOT rewarding. The real thing hurts your hand and causes paperwork." He was in law enforcement for many years and had to repel a very few assaults.)

I try to check in here cause there is way better vitamin info on this forum than anywhere else. I try to lay low though since I am not a DSer

ok, I like seeing your progress too Jenna! you are doing awesome!! :)

I hang here because I am a wanna be.  Waiting for approval for revision so need to know my stuff prior to getting DS.  Like you vets say, I am doing my research.

You are a future DSer; a padawan.  We like padawans to hang out and learn all they can about the DS to both help make the decision to go with the DS and to learn what to expect from the surgery.   

"Wannabes" and people doing their research (whether for themselves or others) are a whole different ball of wax :-). I do hope my cranky post didn't make you feel unwelcome.

The same is true for folks like Judi who just hang out to socialize. It's people like Randi who get on my last nerve. You don't have a DS. You don't know **** about DSer needs. So QUIT ACTING LIKE YOU DO. Make sense?

There are some who do have legitimate reasons for hanging around. Those are not the problem. Its the "your DS sucks, my RNY/ LB is so much better" whinners that I cant stand.

I dont give a crap if you puke, cant drink with meals, cant eat ice cream...I CAN!!

I did MY research and I will not be lead around like a sheep to slaughter.

Oh well....they are prolly jealous and trying to live vicaiously through us. LOL

I have to admit, I lurk on the RNY and VSG boards and occasionally contribute to a thread there. But I would not deign give them advice specific to their surgeries or aftercare.

I've also noticed a few RNY and VSG folks *****gularly comment on threads here and I enjoy their contributions. 

Unfortunately, I have noticed that RBB sometimes posts incorrect or questionable advice stated as fact from a position of authority. She seems to post on a lot of threads here.
