Is this the person that gives vitamin advice? If so, she does have some good info but she strays over into diagnosing and other areas that she has zero knowledge in and that could be dangerous. I have tried to correct her when I see it but I really have other things to do, KWIM?
Hello all! Long time DSer, occasional poster . . . I don't mind the my rny is better than your ds posts because I think they are funny. I love it when they have to eat crow at about 36 months post op and come over here seeking a revision. But mainly, I just like always being right and me being a ds'er is just another one of those ways that I fulfill my personal goals! LOL! Can't you tell, I love me!

Hey, Danielle,
There's a woman form Logansport on the MB..and RnY person, whose labs are out of whack and who is talking about a lot of neurologicaly symptoms--which we DSers know to try to prevent from the git-go, but this poor lady is like six years post-op and had no idea what could go wrong.
They are now sending her to a place that is mostly shrinks but she can barely walk and has all kinds of symptoms that could EASILY be due to screwed up labs and not having a neurologist who "gets it."
Anyway, take a look at the thread and see if there is anything you might be able offer to help her...like the name of a neurologist who might have a clue. She's not in your back yare..but not all that far away.
Thanks,
Sue

I always thought it was because the DSers are the smartest and best looking, and everyone wants to be like us
.
Seriously, I do think in general the DSers are fairly educated in supplements and WLS issues for several reasons that I'm not going into.
I've even suggested several folks come ask specific things on the DS board just because I knew the folks with the best info were hanging here, even though they had other procedures.
But because we are a fairly WLS savvy group, I do expect that anyone who posts BS here should expect to have their ass handed to them. If anyone tries to stir up **** here, they need to have data and facts to back them up or they're toast.

I am also a DS Padawan, hoping to be switched soon. About to (re)submit to my new insurance next week. Had to change plans because my old insurance covered the DS completely, but only in my state (and there were no DS surgeons in Iowa). So I got changed to a different plan that allows it anywhere in the US. I'm in communication with Dr. Smith's office in Georgia and waiting for my updated insurance statement now...
