***** and Moan or Support and Encourage: All about College Post DS
Just moved in yesterday so my little sister and me are going to go scouting the campus today to find where we can work out and where the best protein foods are hiding.
I start back on the 30th (Graduate in December) . I have never had a professor not allow food or drink in a classroom (other than science lab rooms). I think most every student always has a drink in my classes and it is rare to not see at least a few people eating in each class as well. My son goes to a community college and also has not had a problem with food or drink in the classrooms. At least it seems your professor understands about the water. I do think sanitizing the desks may be a little overkill. The attendance policy is pretty close to one I have but they do make exceptions in extreme cir****tances. For example when my father had his stroke I missed a week of classes and had already missed one for being sick myself. I called and emailed my professors and they let me submit my work online and the one exam I missed was allowed to be made up. Last year anyone who had swine flu was exempt for recovery. When the roads are too dangerous to travel, the school would close. It is a big adjustment to make, but once you get used to it you will enjoy yourself.
I could use any help on some lunch ideas and snacks to bring. I will be at school from 9:15 to 5:45 this semester and I have about a 45 minute commute each way. RTD protein drinks are very easy to find on campus and I have access to a microwave. There are a ton of fast food places on campus but I don’t want to eat that stuff everyday and driving off campus to get something takes too long.
