Hi Laura,
Welcome!  I hope you will find this place as helpful to you as it has been to me!!  I'll have to take a look at Google maps and see where you are in Italy.  I travel to Montevarchi several times a year and love my trips there.  Well, except for the airplane seats on the way there  of course!

Hi Laura, and welcome to our board.  No apology needed for the translation.  I'm 18 months out and down 100#'s.  Haven't smoked for the same amount of time.  I'd like to lose another 20#'s.  Guess it's time to excercise!

Thanks to all, it's nice to be with you, Italian doctors tell me that I can eat complex carbohydrates, but not simple, then they told me to eat pasta sparingly, but not completely abandon the use of carbo complexes, are exclude only sugar, sweets, fruit .....

I would like information on the absorption capacity of the colon common in Italy is said that after five years it becomes more absorbent, they say stretches (...)..
I have proposed a revision to a restriction bypass with the stomach, but I do NOT want this .....
my Italian is very bad and google is not the miracle, sorry.
kisses laura

Welcome, Laura! Congratulations on your wonderful success. There are several long term DS veterans here who are so helpful and should be able to suggest some good strategies!

Thanks for sharing your experiences!

All the best,
Dori in San Francisco
