Does the Sore Tailbone get Better?
I know I cannot be alone in this and I was wondering if this improves over time? I guess with losing the extra cushion on my rear end.. that is what is causing the discomfort. It is so sore all the time!
Even when I sit on the sofa!
I try to be careful when I sit down, avoid hard surfaces etc.
It *seems* over exaggerated like my bone is just not used to having pressure on it and that maybe it will get used to it (I'm hoping)
Did this happen to you? Do you still have it.. or does it improve?
Thanks, Loretta

I have a very prominent tailbone, so, I quite literally know what a pain in the ass this is.
I've found that mine HAS improved, but I still have to reposition myself a lot and I can't sit squarely on my catonkus, otherwise I roll around on my tailbone nub and that HURTS. It seemed to be the worst in the first 6 months but has gotten better since then.

Hi Loretta,
I think most of us can relate. Yes, I went through that and hated every second of it. It does get better, but I can't say it's peaches and cream. I still have to adjust my position quite often to get comfortable, and of course, that only lasts a few minutes! You do get somewhat used to it.
Good Luck!
Wenda
My answer is just the same as everybody else's....it is better but still not great. I've had a bit of a well-needed bounceback in weight and that might contribute to the reduced pressure. Mine is compounded by the loose skin I have on my butt - it kind of shifts back and forth over the tailbone when I sit.

That's so funny, Loretta! I was going to post the same question tonight! lol
I was whining to my boyfriend just today that my butt hurts! lol I also notice when I sleep on my sides that my shoulders hurt when I wake up (like the points of them where I would be lying against them on the bed). I assumed its just because they stick out with less padding than they had before and as I get fitter and get better muscle build up again they will hurt less. But the sore tailbone is something I never expected. I wonder if skinny people have a sore butt all the time. I'll have to remember to ask one of my skinny friends.
I had surgery a month before you, I remember we talked before you went down :) I just wanted to say you look amazing and I am so happy for you!! I am down to 192 pounds now (from 374) and doing better every day. I don't love my DS yet, but I am liking this new me.
