Dealing with grief when you can't self-soothe with carbs

Now...we all have the DS because its forgiving AND we can have treats from time to time, NOW is the time for you to have a treat! Have a bite or two of something rich, sweet, gooey and comforting.. grieve and head on out to face the rest of your day. It will all be better tomorrow.

Becky, I'm so sorry about the little one, how kind you have been to take it in and care for it, at least at the end of it's life, it had someone who cared and loved it.  I have no real good advice, I too turn to food (not good food mind you), when troubled.  My heart goes out to you.

I am so sorry you had to go thru a day like today. It's hard not to turn to your old habits when things get rough. Don't beat yourself up over a minor transgression. Just because you ate sweets, doesn't make you the so called, 'fat girl'. It makes you human. Grieve and love yourself.

Beautiful girl!  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving love to a little fur baby that had none before you came along.  You have given light to a little consciousness that was in the dark.  From a pet owner and pet lover I feel so proud of you.  There is dignity in knowing when to let our little furry soul mates go.  It is the hardest lesson I ever had to learn and will face it again one day with fear and anxiety but also the wisdom to know it is a manifestation of real love. 

You should live in the minute and do what your restless self wants you to do.  Make sure you cry out the pain today.  Don't shrink from the sadness and know that somewhere somehow the love you gave to your fur-baby is being reciprocated 10000's of times over by other good loving people who take inspiration from giving to the most vulnerable. 

Today in memory of your loved little soul I will hug my pooch harder and give him some roasted chicken and be glad for his warmth.  I am sending that loving vibe to you.  Be at peace love. xxx

So sorry, Becky.  No great words of wisdom, but you're in my thoughts. 

 Having gone through this twice, I am deeply sorry to hear that you had to do that.  It is the most awful thing to do, but also the kindest...

I'm so sad for you Becky :(  I don't know the answer.....I totally get how you're feeling though.  Let me know if you figure out a good way to fill that comfort food need. 

You're not a fat girl anymore, but the Becky emotions are still there.  Maybe take a warm bath??
