I'm hoping to be able to sweet talk the doc into removing the fluid on the 13th from mine.  This thing has gotta gotta go!

If it is any consolation at least you still have your lapband so that you can have a revision to DS. I had the crapband for 6 years and totally understand choking on your food. I did well with it for 4 years, but then could not eat anything. The surgeon just wanted to remove the band and let everything settle down and heal up before doing any type of revision. Now, insurance only considers it a brand new surgery for me and is making me do the 6 month supervised diet. So, hopefully, you can hang in there until your revision and you are switched! You will be there before me so hang in there.

Now that does stink!  The insurance companies are so dishonest.

I had my revision last Wednesday and am so happy I don't have my Realize band anymore. I had multiple bouts of food getting stuck and having to bring it up. Too much pain.

Good luck to you!

I`m so sorry your having so much pain!

I will send out some good old Scottish curses your Dr`s way!
You`ll do great with the DS!

Just keep hold of  the thought, just a few more weeks to go.
It sucks to have to fight with your food and end up getting your  a## kicked by it!

But your up attitude will take you far!  Hang in there!

I have had it removed i , i just wanted it out and then take my time to find a surgery that suite me.
Even though the doctors said another WLS was very feasible at the same time if the band is not eroded which in your case doesn’t look like bcz one of the symptoms is spitting out blood.

Band erosions are rare but when it happens it is very dangerous to perform another WLS one you get it out believe me it will be a relief.
I know it is a bad surgery but now it’s in you so you have to think how to make things better not worst.
If you get stuck n you keeping trying to get something down will keep swelling your stomach the best idea is to wait for hours and then start with warm fluid may be hot sou*****odles just the water though. It will open it up and then continue to eat.
If it is a piece of meat that’s stuck the papaya enzyme is life saver and it’s over the counter tablets it breaks down protein.

Chew thoroughly and eat slowly.
Get ur band unfill that way there will be less stress on your stomach and less chances of scar tissue, dilated pouch and God forbid erosions.
Learn to listen to band until its in you bcz if you go against its will it will do damage.
The early band gets out of you the better it is i have actually kept the band that came out of me and i show it to people who are considering band.

You have chosen a good surgery DS or VSG both are excellent procedures.
I wish you luck
And i hope Allergan will burn in hell for this

The kind that believes fat people just need to 'push away from the table' and that a choke collar you wear on the inside is the solution.

I'd like to see him get punched in the scrotum if were picking organs here.
