Need Help! Hospital, Headaches and Low Potassium

I've been having headaches for 1 1/2 weeks and just thought it was the chg in seasons. Yesterday I woke up from my nap with one and checked my BP. It was about 180/100. I took my BP med - which I hadn't been taking and waited two hrs. As I also felt nauseous and had diarrhea, I went to the emergency room. They did a cat scan and checked my labs. Cat scan- ok. Heart enzyme - ok. I was low on potassium. They gave me 2 bags and discharged me. Sometime between 5:30 p.m. and 4:00 this morning, I think my BP med would have kicked in and maybe it did and I just don't know it. I've had clots twice and those are the only times my BP has been that high. Any way I left the hospital with my BP at 160/100. Any suggestions? I know about he one that I should take my meds and definitely promise to be more faithful to my med organizer.

It's no wonder you have a headache. 
Take your medication every day. 
Keep a log of your BP--take it the same time every day on the same machine. 
Take that log to your PCP for followup!

Headaches run in my family.  My brothers had bad headaches until they were put on a beta blocker for their blood pressure, now this is much improved.  I have low BP so that doesn't work for me--but I still get headaches.   Oh

I think you should definitely keep up w/the BP meds.  Keep a log of headaches and meds too.

I typically don't have headaches unless I have bronchitis or maybe a change in season. It was iffy when they put me on BP meds and since the surgery my BP has either been low or normal w/o the meds. Now it's high. I'm confused by it.
