Have you ever gotten a bad bag of Jack Links Jerky?

Jack Links Jerky is my "go to" snack.

I like the Original flavor and buy it in the Mega size bags.

Ever once in awhile I get a bag that just doesn't taste right.  It has a gamey, off taste.  Not as tender, either.

I buy a ton of this stuff and normally it is good. But at least on two occasions I have gotten bags that don't taste the same.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I just finished a bag that was hard .. (the pieces were extra hard) and they didn't taste right.

This new bag is back to being yummy

Call the company and tell them - I'm sure even a good company turns out a weird batch every now and then or overdries the jerky or whatever.  They might send you some coupons!

That's true, hadn't thought of that.  The stuff is expensive, too!

HI Loretta,

This is my go-to snack too. Sometimes, its even my lunch if I am pressed for time or trying to think of something.

I know exactly what you mean about the taste.

I had a bag that was moldy once and Walmart refused to take it back becuase it was open.  Duh?    It is way to expensive to waste my money.  I should have sent it to the company but let time get away from me.

eww moldy?

so it makes me think it was spoiled or old.  It looked good and of course was sealed.

I have a bad bag siting on my counter right now. It looks and smells bad and tastes like fish. I don't like fish, and I REALLY don't like fish-flavored beef jerky!

It's a big bag from BJ's, so definately worth the trip back to exchange it - hopefully that won't turn into an ordeal. I'm not in the mood for an argument.

Warehouse stores tend to be really good about returns.  They shouldn't give you any trouble.

Every once in awhile I'll get a bag like that, it'll either be tough and nasty or really soft and chalky, it states to how much I like the stufff that I keep buying it.
