My friend and neighbor died today

kerry, its very hard to lose a true friend, i lost two good friends and we were close in age, i find comfort in that fact that we spent time together, had fun together and they too considered me a good friend! it also makes you think about your own mortality. (one of the reasons i had wls) my condolences to you and his family and friends...
Oh Kerry, that's just awful! I will be thinking of you and of Elwood today. Try to focus on the fun and good times you've had with him. I will also say that any happy stories you have of him would no doubt be very much appreciated by his family. When I have lost loved ones even the most seemingly inconsequential stories have delighted me... just because it sounded like something my dear one would say or do.

Kerry, I'm so sorry for your loss. The devastation for the family is horrible, but I know when my dad went like that, it was a blessing for him. He couldn't have lived with not being able to do everything he wanted, if he would have been limited due to his heart attack. Support his family as best you can. Prayers for his family and yours.
