Prayers please!!! My heart is breaking!

MY precious DIL, Kristen, ws diagnosed with Cancer this morning. She is 29 and has Hodgkins Lymphoma. This is the same dil who underwent fertility treatment recently. She and Jerry Don just moved back home to save money for invitro...now they are telling her to harvest her eggs.

Kristen and Jerry Don are both in shock and numb. She has an appointment Nov 9 at MD Anderson Cancer Institute here in Houston.

I dont know what to do or say. Right now I'm questioning my faith...anad I dont like that. BW is in safely now in Oregon. Needless to say our world has turned upside down.

Crank them critters back up, dance a jig or say a prayer or 2.

All we can do for now is......BREATH.......

Dar, do you know what stage of Hodgkins she has?  Hodgkins is very treatable these days and has a very high SURVIVAL rate especially when caught early (Stage 1, 2).

I'm sending postitve thoughts to you, her and her family.

Are you sure you meant "Has a very high mortality rate especially when caught early?"  Did you mean treatability/suvivability?

OY.... Let me edit that to say that it has a high survival rate, not mortality. That will teach me to post when I'm ready for bed!  Thanks!

Oh Darlene...my heart just absolutely breaks for her.  She is such a sweet girl!  Please tell her I'm thinking of her and I'll be praying like H-E-double hockey sticks for her recovery.  The docs want her to harvest her eggs becuase the chemo and radiation CAN damage them.  Nothing more at this point.  Its probably best she does that before chemo so she has some good eggs to work with after she's all better!

Remember....if He brings you to it, He'll bring you through it.

I am so, so sorry. There is no rhyme or reason to these things, and there's no point in asking why. All you can do is love them, unconditionally and be there to support them. My heart goes out to you.

Oh, Darlene, our hearts go out to you all!  You are definitely in our prayers.  Call any time.  Knowing you, you're in protective mother mode right now, but remember you're still fresh postop yourself.  Take care of yourself and let your kiddos know lots of people are interceding on their behalf!
