Thank you Kerry

I wasnt always so good at taking my iron, but I have changed that so hopefully that will help.
I eat alot of fiber, but problem is....they come along with carbs and I have been told not to eat those.
I have started to eat alot more protein and fats...I am hoping this episode will end in some nice weight loss because I need something positive to think about while up at 2am and not able to sleep.

Thank you everyone for your help..guess I will just have to take a chance at sleep, I cant stay awake anymore.

Get some Chia seeds tomorrow; they're amazing at how quickly they firm things up.

Ditto, ditto, ditto on the chia seeds.
I don't know how they do it, but these little wonders are helpful if you are too loose or too firm.
And they're higher in protein than any other "seed-as-fiber" thingy around.

Try psyllum husk capsules,  The carbs are not digestible and they will firm things up.  Maybe take one with each meal and then see how that works for you?  Maybe one more at bed?

I would suggest starting slow with them and then increasing slowly.

Good Luck,

I've had those also. I've started sleeping on a garbage bag covered with a bath towel. It hasn't happened in a while, but I'm afraid to chance it. Thankfully I live alone. You really have to watch what you eat to figure out what causes it. For me it's onions or anything too greasy. So I know I can no longer eat onions, but every once in a while I'll take a VERY TINY nibble. But I don't cook with them anymore. And I bake & broil more than fry now. I also take a lot of Imodium.

Psyllum husk caps iare pretty much a laxitive...don't see how that could help.

I have no ideas other than cutting the fat...just till you get yourself back on track.  Then slowly add the fat back.  Do some sort of monitoring to see when you stop having leakage.  Keep doing protein and fluids.

Good luck, I have similar problems and haven't found a "cure" yet either.  I'm almost 3 years out.

Psyllium husk caps can effect your bm's BOTH ways.  It can firm you up if you need firming, loosen you up if you need loosening.  Directions are on the bottle on how to dose properly for desired effect.

To the original poster....

I haven't had this issue and I'm really sorry that you are going through it.  It may be an issue of fats.  Do you drink protein shakes?  I get most of my protein through shakes, therefore decreasing the amount of fat that I eat.  However...even on very high fat days, I don't have this issue.  I would suggest trying the Chia Seeds, they work well for me when things aren't "firm."  Also, taking Benefiber or Metamucill may really help to firm things up for you.  Again, I'm very sorry you are going through this.

Lori, Tell me which one you are talking about...I want to check this out.

I did read that the husks are what metamucil and so forth are made from...doesn't work for me.

I'll try anything once...

Thank you everyone...I did finally manage to get some sleep.  I guess normally what happens in the morning happened at a bad time at nite and I didnt wake up to stop it.  a bit of leakage I could deal with but this is a total loss of bowel control.   Ok, on the good side, I woke up and have lost 3.3 lbs.  I remember in the past when it happened I lost a bit of weight after.  I think the addition of fat and protein in addition to the removing of sugar carbs and lowering complex has changed my digestion (which is a good thing)   im sure it will all balance out, and I will start taking more iron because heck, i need it anway.  Dont know what I would do without you guys...thank you again

In addition to what others have suggested, you can get Benefiber that is tasteless to put in your shakes.
