Just received an email from Dr. Stewarts office introducing their new line of vitamins.  It says:
" I am excited to present to you our new lines of vitamins. I have been working with a chemist to develop these new products. The new vitamins are in tablet form so you no longer have to chew them.

Patients who have had or are planning to have, Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass, Gastric Sleeve, or Lap Band only need to take one multi-vitamin and two calcium citrate twice per day. Patients who have had or are planning to have the Duodenal Switch, will only need to take one multi-vitamins and two calcium citrate twice a day. Some patients may need additional Vitamin A and Vitamin D.

We are pleased to announce the Bariatric Best Supplements have arrived and we anxiously anticipate the arrival of Dr. Stewarts Weight Loss Supplements for Duodenal Switch, hopefully in the next few weeks.

We will be working to get all of these products on an online store for your convenience, but in the mean time please feel free to contact Matthew or stop by the office and we will make sure we get what you need.

I am excited about these new products and hope all of you are as well! Everyone keep up the hard work and let’s continue the good fight to reach your weight loss goals."

I'm not sure what's in it yet, but I'm not holding my breath in anxious anticipation either. . .  I'm going to have to call to find out the specifics on this.  Maybe I'll be pleasantly wrong -- doubt it.

Give me a break. I can't wait for Michelle to see this.

This really makes me furious if you want to know the truth. How many people are going to believe this and wind up deficient while following the good doctor's "orders"?

Why yes, I did see this.

So, anybody wanna see OUR labs? Some are really shiny nice.

But actually, I'll be needing to swap someone some of my lots of D or ferritin for some platelets. And if you can put a rush on that..........

I wonder if, as the DS becomes more popular, if they will do more studies on vitamins, deficiencies and absorption. It would be nice.

omg..........I take about 35-45 vits, a day just to stay close to normal.  I'd love to take that few pills.  I'm not willing to be the guinea pig but would be interested to see how long someone can go until they tank.  I'm a Vitalady girl all the way.

No way! If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Real expensive multivitamin is all you have with these. He already says you'll have to add more of this and that...I tried 12 Vita4Life a day, which is supposed to be the miracle easy peasy multivitamin (add extra calcium, D, A, etc, etc.) didn't work for me...watched my labs sink. Switched to Vitalady...excellent labs.

Sorry, there's no free lunch.

I'm no longer the Dr Stewart fan I once was. He's an excellent cutter, but that's all I think he's good for anymore.
Duodenal Switch hybrid due to complications.

Dr. Stewart and I talked about these in Oct. In theory the concept is great....whether or not it will work is another story. I voiced my concerns when we talked. Dr S is so very PRO DS and is willing to try different things so that his (all) DSers have the best labs, results, etc. I'm of a mind to give this some time and see what kind of results this is generating. Just like the D injection.....how wonderful it would be.

Dr.S is NOT going to do anything to put his patients in jeporady. I prominse you the folks taking these will be followed quite closely and adjustments made accordingly.

I hope to sit down and talk with DrS about these sometime shortly after the first of the year. Not saying I will try them, but I do want all the available ino so I can weigh my options. and...

Larrisa you're just mad cause he wouldnt operate on you after you went to that butcher.
