Weird post-op food aversions???
I love shrimp but unfortunately it does *not* love me since my DS.
Chicken is really difficult for me too. I've only had it a few times that I've been able to stomach it.
Funnily enough, my surgeon says I shouldn't be eating red meat yet, but a good steak is probably the thing that goes down the best.

All the food adversions I developed - to protein shakes, chrystal light, eggs and a few others have now resolved themselves and I'm good.
Only, I don't much care for yogurt anymore because it was all I keep down for so long - I mentally associate it with being sick.

I go in and out of food aversions. I used to love KFC chicken strips and now can't stand the sight of them, as just one example. Sometimes I'll revisit a food I hated last year and like it again, or new things will crop up. It's pretty interesting, really. Do try them at a later point out. I'm glad I never started hating eggs. They are a mainstay in my diet.

There really isn't anything that has been consistent on my "ick list". For me, it seems to change, quite often. One day, I'll love something, and the next it will turn my stomach to think of it. Right now, my current aversion is lunch meat- of any type. Which stinks because I always used it as a quick grab and go protein source. Something that HAS been pretty consistent is leftovers, microwaved stuff, things I prepare myself and anything from the Crock-Pot (everything comes out too dry for me in the crock).
The only thing I've noticed I don't care for as much post-op is sweets. Before, I could eat sweets all day long! But now, I don't crave them at all. I'll eat maybe 3 bites of something sweet, and it'll be too much and I can't eat anymore. Sometimes this makes me sad, lol, but most of the time I see it as a huge blessing!
Whew am I lucky. I GOT the DS so I could eat all the things you hate :)

At nearly 20 months out, this has stabalized a lot for me, but I went through a lot of weird, likes, dislikes, gonna make me barf, things. And as mentioned by others, sometimes one week I could eat X, but next week, not so much. One thing that hasn't changed for me is that I can't do leftovers since my DS. They just gross me out. Can't explain it. And it sucks, because I waste a lot of food this way.
