Okay here's the deal and I can honestly say I have never seen this posted before.

Every time I have a BM my mouth fills with saliva and I have to spit as soon as I stand up.

Am I a freak of nature?

That's definitely a new one on me....LOL I sometimes have a strange occurance too when I poop. After the first round evacuates I sometimes get a pain that is in my neck, upper left shoulder area. I have no clue as to why but I think it's very strange! I'm sure it is some sort of nerve reaction to my bowels moving. That's my best guess anyway.

Hey Renee, I get the same niggle. It is where I had the drain after my complications, sometimes when having a BM its a quick pain, kind of shoots up to the left shoulder/neck area, I am sure the doc told me there is some kind of nerve there that causes this - glad I'm not the only one!!;lol

I have never mentioned it here before now. I just assumed I was a freak. I am glad to know I am in good company!!! LOL I bet it is somehow associated with the vagus nerve being stimulated. Kind of like the triggers of runny nose or hiccup...etc. when we fill up. I'm sure it's all related to nerve stimulation or disruption.

some people get extra saliva or foamies when their stomach is too full and stomach and intestines are all part of the digestive track, so seems like a nerve reaction. Experiment with taking a sip of water or lemon water before you poop???? Better or worse???

Don't feel bad. Every time I poop my nose runs. I have heard tons of people talking about there nose running, or sneezing when they get full. Nope. Not me. I just feel full. But when I poop, my nose runs. I have asked other local DS'ers about it and I'm the only one. It just makes me that much more special.
