I'm a little more than a year out & I've lost 129 lbs. I started at 274.5 &  I'm now at 145.5. That puts my BMI at 24.6.
Won against big bad (SoCal) Kaiser for a Duodenal Switch  Haven't heard of DS? Kaiser wants it that way. Come on over & read the truth
Hit goal (Normal BMI) on 2-10-11!    I LOVE my DS!!
My approval process timeline:
02/12/09 - Dr. refused to refer me for WLS
03/03/09 - Vented/whined about it on another board, planned to just wait until next year & switch plans
Let's see what happens!  **updates in blog**

I started at 265 and I've lost 102.  I am at 163 and a size 8 right now and very happy.  I am still losing although rather slowly now. I could probably lose even more if I wanted to if I really stuck to protein shakes and really limited my carbs.

But now I am just trying to figure out what my goal really should be.  I am very happy at my current size and if I were to have plastics to remove loose skin, I would weigh even less and probably be a size 6. I'm 5, 8.5 by the way.

So, I consider my DS a complete and total success.  I am very happy and have absolutely no regrets!

There is no reason you can't reach your goal with the DS.

I'll be 9 months out on 2/24.  I've lost 116lbs (including 18 lost on the preop diet).  I'm only 20lbs from GOAL, and fully expect to reach it and/or exceed it by my one year surgiversary :)

I have lost half my body weight, about 167 lbs, and am eight pounds from goal.  I love it!

I lost to my goal, which was a normal BMI.

I'm 5'6", and started at 296, and am now at 154 which is a total loss of 142 pounds.

I just hit goal, but am still losing a few pounds per month.  Dont know where I'll stop.  I'd like to lose 10 more, but am also pretty happy where I am.

Take a look at my profile and my ticker. What is the most important though, is the huge improvement in my health. I was really feeling like I was reaching the end of my life prematurely. Now I hope to live as long as my mom who just turned 93 and to do it in good health!
